My name is Emily Westhoff and I am a Senior at Pittsburg State University. I am graduating in May with a Bachelors in Fine Arts with and emphasis in Painting.
When I was thinking about what I wanted to do for the rest of my life I decided to follow my dreams and become an artist, more specifically a painter. My favorite things that I like to paint are the beautiful landscapes of Kansas and the storms that roll through. Since I can not get enough of the Kansas landscape, I will continue capturing the vast beauty of Kansas.
Matthew Richter and Cally Krallman are inspiring to me because I think they capture the beauty and vastness of the Kansas and Midwest landscape very well. You can look at Michael Richter's work on http://www.matthewrichter.com/about.htm, and you can find Cally Krallman's work on http://callykrallman.com/.
Here are a few of my past works. The top two are in watercolor and the bottom two are in oil paint.
